The preacher says, “To everything there is a season, A time for every purpose under heaven.” (Ecclesiastes 3:1)
It was with great sorrow that, yesterday evening, the Board of Directors voted to accept Mark’s resignation as Music Director and Office Manager. Mark faithfully served our congregation for over six years, including during the transition period from Pastor Kolb to our vacancy, and then to Pastor Sorenson. His singing, music, and choir direction gave glory to God and greatly enhanced our worship. He was the face of the congregation to many in our community who came through the church doors during the week, or who heard him singing in the community choir.
Mark routinely went above and beyond his duties to serve this congregation and its members. His departure is in this same vein, he feels it is best for him and his family during this time of pandemic, and he feels it best for his church family as well. His presence here at Faith will be deeply missed and we wish him well in his future endeavors. God bless and keep you Mark!
